We’re looking for a electricial tradesperson to join our all-star team. We’re looking for:

What you’ll do:

Here is a sample of what your workday may look like:

 

  • Senior Craftsperson (Electrician) or Craftsperson 1 (Electrician).
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance and installation of electrical systems such as – fire alarm systems, boilers, burners, turbine controls, Allen Bradley PLCs, low voltage distribution and control systems from 120V to 600V and high voltage distribution and control systems from 4160V to 138KV systems.
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs to the following equipment - fire alarm systems, boilers, burners, turbine controls, Allen Bradly PLCs, low voltage distribution and control systems from 120V to 600V and high voltage distribution and control systems from 4160V to 138KV systems.
  • Complete testing and documentation for calibrations, maintenance, and compliance requirements tied to safety, environmental, and operational standards.
  • Participate in the development of procedures to ensure work is performed in a safe and effective manner .
  • Follow all safety policies and safe work practices and participate in regular safety meetings .
  • Involvement and support of all Electrical trade activities and other duties as required.
  • Work within Unifor Local 686B union.
  • Work in a team environment within the Maintenance department.

What you bring:

Required

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent technical training.
  • Successfully completed the requirements for Electrical Tradesperson qualifications or completed fourth year of five year electrician apprenticeship.
  • 2 years’ experience in the oil and natural gas industry.
  • Electrical maintenance and installation experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Basic computer skills.

 

Preferred

  • Electrician Journeyperson.
  • Experience working in the Petro Chemical/Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Experience working with boilers, burners and turbine controls.
  • Experience working with high voltage 4160V to 138KV systems.
  • Gas plant electrical experience with regards to Installation of class 1 Div. 1 components and conduit installations.
  • Experience working with Allen Bradly PLC.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Ability to troubleshoot.

Salary Range:

$66.82 - $78.44 plus allowances and premiums. Total compensation is administered under the collective agreemen
