What you’ll do:

Here is a sample for some of what your workdays may look like:

 

  • Operate all areas of the TBD Gas Plant following established operating procedures and guidelines to meet the contract demand and corporate expectations for quality, efficiency, EH&S and cost. 
  • Maintain safety standards in the Plant, follow agreed practices and procedures, and comply with all WHMIS, TDG and WCB regulations. 
  • Maintain compliance with environmental permits by following agreed practices and procedures and manage process upsets emissions and spills to mitigate environmental damage. 
  • Optimize Plant operations to achieve maximum efficiency and lowest costs through careful operations, continuous improvement of the operation, and performance of minor maintenance activities. 
  • Assist in completing work assigned to maintenance team to achieve maximum reliability and lowest costs.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain plant equipment and systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot issues in plant operations, equipment, and systems.
  • Perform start-ups, shutdowns, and emergency procedures as required.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports of plant operations.
  • Monitor process variables and adjust controls to achieve efficient and safe plant performance.

What you bring:

Required

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a gas plant or similar oil and gas facility.
  • 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to the worksite if required.
  • Journeyman Certification in a relevant trade (e.g., Instrumentation, Electrical, Millwright, or similar).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong understanding of gas plant operations, equipment, and safety standards.

 

Preferred

  • 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate
  • Completion of all GPO modules.
  • Familiarity with distributed control systems (DCS) and SCADA systems.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process issues effectively.
  • Dual Trade.

Salary Range:

$65.00 - $75.00 per hour.
