Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an Intermediate Supply Chain resource to join our all-star team. We’re looking for:
- Someone who has strong organizational skills: You excel at managing multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring that information remains structured and easily accessible.
- A people person: We need someone who’s a natural when it comes to building relationships—whether it's with customers, teammates, or anyone else you work with. You know how to connect, listen, and make people feel heard, especially when things get tough.
- Keep calm and carry on: When the pressure is on and deadlines are tight, you don’t just survive—you thrive. You know how to stay calm, think on your feet, and keep things moving forward without compromising those important relationships. You handle challenges with grace and always find a way to make it work for everyone involved.
- A multitasker: You thrive in fast-paced settings, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and work collaboratively to meet deadlines and deliver quality results.
What you’ll do:
Here is a sample of what your workday may look like:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines, budgets, and corporate objectives.
- Execute end‑to‑end sourcing and contracting activities, including RFQ/RFP preparation, bid evaluation, and contract award for project‑related goods and services.
- Lead commercial negotiations of pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers and contractors to secure optimal value and mitigate risk.
- Support ongoing contract and supplier management, including change orders, amendments, price reviews, and invoice issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date procurement records, ensuring full transparency and audit readiness.
- Issue purchase orders (POs) for materials, equipment, and services as needed, ensuring alignment with approved contracts, budgets, and delivery schedules.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in cross‑functional projects and initiatives aimed at improving supply chain performance, including lead‑time reduction, cost optimization, and supplier rationalization.
- Provide regular updates to management on procurement performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project and corporate supply chain objectives.
What we offer:
- A culture of continuous learning and mentorship from the best in the business (and fun!).
- An opportunity to work in the heart of downtown Calgary with great amenities including a brand new, subsidized gym and meeting spaces.
What you bring:
Required
- Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional supply chain designation (SCMP, CPSM, CIPS, etc.) is an asset.
- 6–8 years of procurement or supply chain experience, with a focus on oil & gas, mining, or other heavy industrial project environments.
- Demonstrated experience in project procurement, including bidding, contract execution, and supplier management for capital projects.
- Proven ability to negotiate complex commercial contracts and manage supplier performance.
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.
- Solid understanding of contract law, risk management, and procurement best practices.
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with EPC contractors, fabricators, and service providers in upstream/midstream or mining settings.
- Exposure to HSSE, local content, and sustainability requirements in project procurement.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced project environment and adapt to changing priorities.
