Who we’re looking for:

We’re looking for the right people to join our all-star team who will immediately fit in with some of the best midstream Project Controls professionals in our industry. We’re looking for:

 

  • You are a multi-tasker: You excel at managing multiple projects or tasks simultaneously, organizing your time effectively, and setting priorities to ensure everything gets done efficiently.

  • You’re adaptable and flexible: You handle deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change with ease.

  • You are great at solving puzzles: You are a problem solver who identifies issues quickly and develops effective solutions to keep projects on track.

  • You have excellent cost control expertise: You have experience with small to medium projects and excel at preparing, consolidating, and analyzing costs and variances on both project and program levels.

  • You are a team player and collaborator: You are confident interacting with stakeholders in verbal, written, and electronic forms. Your ability to clearly articulate project details, requirements, and updates ensures that everyone is on the same page and that projects run smoothly.

 

What you’ll do:

Here is a sample for some of what your workdays may look like:

 

  • Manage overall status reporting on the financial aspects for assigned projects, including budget, committed, incurred costs and monthly forecasts.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and team to review data and define cost tracking to ensure commitments and schedule requirements are accurately represented in the project forecast.

  • Prepare, consolidate and analyze costs and variances on project and program level.

  • Ensure all incurred costs are up-to-date and ensure contracts are tracked and coded appropriately to the projects.

  • Process project invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.

  • Collect and provide details for month end accruals.

  • Support in building the long-range plans and budgets to develop a full understanding of the planned spending for projects and programs.

  • Coordinate and track budget changes within projects portfolio, including AFE supplements, project transfers, changes and deferrals.

  • Know of and adhere to all finance policies, ensuring that spending is in line with capital and/or expense guidelines.

What you bring:

Required

  • Minimum 5 years’ related experience in cost controls with focus on small to medium projects.

  • Post secondary degree or diploma in a technical or business function.

  • Strong computer skills, including microsoft office suite with advanced microsoft excel skills.

  • Experience in the use of ERP systems (SAP, JDE, Oracle).

  • Integral knowledge of project controls principles, practices and tools.

 

Preferred

  • SAP experience.

  • Experience working with midstream operator, preferably in Gas Plant Projects and associated facilities: Truck Terminals, Pipelines, etc.
