We’re looking for Senior Projects Controls Specialist resource to join our all-star team. We’re looking for:

What you’ll do:

 

Here is a sample of what your workday may look like:

 

  • Cost control and reporting for assigned projects including consolidated project budgets and costs for committed, incurred, forecast, spend curves, cost and schedule variance and overall project stewardship.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and team to review data and define cost tracking to ensure commitments and schedule requirements are accurately represented in the project forecast.
  • Establish, track and review Contractors reporting for assigned projects.
  • Ensure all incurred costs are up-to-date and ensure contracts are tracked and coded appropriately to the projects.
  • Process project invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Prepare and analyze cost reports to ensure original commitments, cost to date and cost to complete and any variances are accurately reported on a timely basis.
  • Support project estimates development and review.
  • Support in building the long-range plans and budgets to develop a full understanding of the planned spending for projects and programs.
  • Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all finance policies, ensuring that spending is in line with capital and/or expense guidelines.

What you bring:

 

Required

 

  • Minimum 7 years related experience in Cost Controls with focus on medium to large projects ($10MM to $100MM+).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical or Business function.
  • Proficient in the use of ERP systems, i.e. SAP, JDE, Oracle.
  • Organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change.
  • Ability to multi-task, work on multiple projects or tasks at once, manage time, organize, and set priorities.

 

Preferred

 

  • SAP experience.
  • Experience in the use of planning software, Primavera P6 or Microsoft Projects.
  • Experience working with midstream operator, preferably in Pipeline and Gas Plant Projects
  • PMI and/or AACE member – certification is considered an asset.
