We’re looking for a senior level accountant in asset accounting & reporting to join our all-star team. We’re looking for:

 

  • Strong financial analysis & reporting: You demonstrate proficiency in evaluating financial data, identifying key trends, and preparing accurate reports to inform strategic decision-making. What you’ll do:

Here is a sample of what your workday may look like:

 

  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly revenue, O&M and capital costs for respective asset areas.
  • Prepare and review monthly AFFO/EBITDA level reports for review with Commercial and Operational Managers.
  • Prepare the comprehensive Annual Budget for designated operating facilities and prepare/coordinate the subsequent quarterly forecasts for each facility.
  • Understand asset area commercial contracts to ensure appropriate revenue recognition.
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet account reconciliations as required.
  • Prepare, review, and facilitate asset area O&M and operations capital budgeting/forecasting and applicable variance analysis.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationship with frontline operations leaders, project managers, and commercial asset managers.
  • Ensure capitalization policy adherence and acquire to retire process is followed for asset areas capital projects.
  • Provide financial guidance/support to Asset Teams including Operations, Projects/Engineering, and Commercial Groups.
  • Provide day-to-day capital support to stakeholders including but not limited to creating projects, releasing appropriate funding and project controls.
  • Provide support and advice to Intermediate and Junior accountants.
  • Implement system enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and SOX processes, assists with development, documentation and effective operation of financial controls.
  • Ad hoc cost analysis required for Asset Teams, Turnaround cost tracking, historical asset AFFO/EBITDA analysis, and forecasting.

What you bring:

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Professional designation in Accounting (CPA).
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite.

 

Preferred

  • Experience in the oil and gas/midstream industry.
  • Experience with SAP S4/Hana
