Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a Commercial Operations Analyst Summer Students to join our all-star team. We’re looking for:
- A problem solver and continuous learner: You’re hands on, ready to tackle challenges in the field and eager to learn as you go. You approach problems with a logical, step-by-step mindset, breaking down complex issues and finding practical solutions. While you’re focused on the details, you also keep an eye on the bigger picture, ensuring everything works together seamlessly.
- A people person: We need someone who’s a natural when it comes to building relationships—whether it's with customers, teammates, or anyone else you work with. You know how to connect, listen, and make people feel heard, especially when things get tough.
- Someone who has a strong attention to detail: You consistently notice and address the finer points in every task, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in your work. Your careful review of processes and deliverables minimizes errors and elevates the overall quality of outcomes.
- Exceptional at prioritizing and thriving under pressure: You excel in fast-paced environments by quickly assessing tasks and determining what needs immediate attention. Your calm decision-making and ability to stay focused ensure that critical objectives are met, even when deadlines are tight or demands are high.
What you’ll do:
Here is a sample of what your workdays may look like:
- Facilitate daily and/or month end responsibilities associated with gas and NGL products.
- Meet daily/monthly deadlines for measurement, gas, liquids, government reporting and invoicing.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, interpret and predict trends.
- Develop and nurture effective customer relationships.
- Partner with other NorthRiver teams (plant operations, marketers, accounting, gas control, commercial, engineers and measurement tech) to facilitate and implement solutions.

What you bring:
Required
- Currently enrolled in the 2nd or 4th year of a post-secondary program in finance, marketing, economics, business, or a related field.
